Slumming it with Kevin McCloud

This is an excellent documentary to watch for those revising for GCSE or AS exams this summer. The two part documentary gives a balanced insight into the problems of life in some of Mumbai's slums and also highlights some of the positives. The second part looks how slums in Mumbai have been 'regenerated' and plans for further redevelopment in the city as India's economy continues to grow.

Santiago's Stifling Smogs

Between the soaring Andes to the east and coastal mountains in the west, Chile's capital Santiago suffers stifling smogs. The area's physical geography, industry and a population of more than six million people combine to create some of South America's worst air pollution. This video highlights some of the issues.
